Proven In The Northeast Film Festival/Contest Rules • Films must be 7 minutes maximum, or less, including titles and credits. (Longer films may be submitted but only the first 7 minutes will be viewed and judged.) • Films can be submitted on VHS, MiniDV or DVD. • Films must be submitted by August 31st, 2008 • Films must have some New England action footage, and some element of surfing, snowboarding or skateboarding. Emphasis on story is strongly recommended. • Films must not have been in previous competitions or have professional distribution. • There will be prizes for the top ten finalists, one of which will win the grand prize,(to be announced) exposure on RSN, a national sports network, broadcast into over 100 resort areas.* (* Broadcast winners will be required to sign a release stating that they have musical and video clearance for all pieces in their film, otherwise they will not be able to claim this portion of the prize). • Films post-marked after August 31, 2008 will not be accepted for judging.
